UK Virtual Bingo: History
UK Virtual bingo? Ever heard of it? No? Well, here's a fast lesson about how this came to life.
This UK virtual bingo we're talking about is actually a product of technology and the gambling game that people love.
* The Thrills of the Game of Bingo People love this game. That's a fact. They would be shouting, "Bingo!" each time they would win or when good fortune strikes them.
With an element of suspense in store for the would-be gamer, this game is practically a thrilling form of entertainment for any age group.
* The Story of the Game Edwin Lowe is said to be the true inventor of this game. But the main idea of the game came from a carnival game in Jackson, Georgia.
The story goes as such…
In 1929, Edwin happened to pass by a carnival one night. Unfortunately, all booths were closed except for one. The booth owner couldn't close the booth for there are still a great number of people playing.
The crowd was noisy. Each time one would win, the winner would yell, "Beano!" The people seemed to be addicted to the game. It was very late when the booth was closed.
Edwin was very much enthusiastic about the game after that. So Edwin tried playing it bringing some beans, small pieces of wood, and some cards - each divided into 9 rows and 3 columns, with each box containing a digit.
Edwin invited some friends for a friendly beano game at home. When one of them won the game, that person shouted a different word - bingo - instead of beano.
From that yell, "Bingo!" an idea suddenly came to Edwin. Edwin modified the game and named it "Bingo."
Bingo was then introduced.
Fortunately, it clicked. The people liked it, and became popular until now.
When people play bingo, the same excitement stayed with them just like the people at the carnival booths playing beano.
* On to the Online World of Gaming
Ever since the game became very popular, the people devoted passionately for this game multiplied to great numbers.
Aside from this, the era of the Internet (where almost everything is possible) has welcomed all sorts of businesses and even gaming halls within its worldwide scope. Sites developed the virtual version of bingo games which came to be also known as the virtual bingo.
Aside from paid gaming halls, some sites also offer free online gaming for the players.
